Dipika is an educational knowledge platform dedicated to the study and understanding of Sanatan Dharma (Hinduism).

We encourage respectful discussion, thoughtful questions and constructive participation.

These Community Guidelines help ensure that Dipika remains a welcoming, informative and respectful environment for everyone.


1. Our Community Values

We ask every member of the Dipika community to contribute in a manner that reflects the principles of:

We recognise that Sanatan Dharma encompasses many traditions, philosophies and practices.

Differences of opinion are welcome when expressed respectfully.


2. Respect Others

Treat all members of the community with dignity and respect.

You may disagree with ideas, interpretations or practices, but personal attacks are not acceptable.

Respectful debate strengthens understanding.

Personal hostility weakens it.


3. Be Constructive

Questions are encouraged.

Constructive discussion is encouraged.

Thoughtful corrections are encouraged.

Please contribute in a way that helps others learn.


4. Stay On Topic

Please keep comments relevant to the article or discussion.

Off-topic discussions may be removed or relocated where appropriate.


5. No Hate Speech

Dipika has zero tolerance for content that:

  • promotes hatred
  • promotes violence
  • encourages discrimination
  • attacks individuals or groups
  • ridicules people because of religion, race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, disability or other protected characteristics

6. Respect Religious Diversity

Sanatan Dharma includes many traditions.

Members may belong to different:

  • sampradayas
  • philosophical schools
  • regional traditions
  • family traditions
  • temple traditions

Respect these differences.

Healthy discussion is welcome.

Sectarian hostility is not.


7. No Personal Attacks

Do not:

  • insult other users
  • mock individuals
  • harass contributors
  • threaten anyone
  • provoke arguments for the sake of conflict

Address ideas—not people.


8. No Misinformation

Do not knowingly publish:

  • false information
  • fabricated quotations
  • invented scriptural references
  • misleading claims
  • manipulated media
  • deliberately deceptive content

If you are uncertain about something, say so.


9. Respect Copyright

Only post material that you:

  • created yourself,
  • have permission to use, or
  • are legally entitled to share.

Do not upload copyrighted books, articles, images or videos without permission.


10. No Spam

The following are not permitted:

  • unsolicited advertising
  • promotional links
  • repetitive posting
  • affiliate marketing
  • scams
  • malicious links
  • automated posting
  • irrelevant commercial content

11. Commercial Promotion

Discussion of books, organisations or services may be appropriate where genuinely relevant.

However, promotional posts intended primarily for advertising may be removed.


12. No Illegal Content

Do not post material that:

  • violates the law
  • infringes copyright
  • invades privacy
  • promotes criminal activity
  • distributes malware
  • facilitates fraud

13. Protect Privacy

Do not publish:

  • personal addresses
  • telephone numbers
  • identity numbers
  • financial information
  • passwords
  • private correspondence
  • confidential information

Respect the privacy of others.


14. Reporting Problems

If you notice:

  • abusive behaviour
  • inaccurate information
  • copyright concerns
  • spam
  • offensive content

please report it using the available reporting tools or contact us directly.


15. Moderation

Dipika reserves the right to:

  • edit comments for formatting or clarity
  • remove comments that violate these Guidelines
  • close discussions
  • suspend user accounts
  • permanently ban repeat offenders

Moderation decisions are made to protect the educational purpose of the Website.


16. Repeat Violations

Users who repeatedly violate these Community Guidelines may have:

  • comments removed
  • posting privileges suspended
  • accounts suspended
  • accounts permanently removed

17. Appeals

If you believe moderation action has been taken in error, you may contact us for review.

We will consider all genuine appeals fairly and respectfully.

Questions, suggestions and respectful discussion help improve Dipika.
