Maha-Mrityunjaya Havan Ritual

Objective: To perform a powerful havan for protection and spiritual purification during the full moon.
Prerequisites/Requirements: Havan kund with sand, havan wood, camphor, sweet rice offering mixture, Ganga water, Hanuman Chalisa text.
Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Bathe and put on clean clothes before starting.
2. Prepare the havan mixture (see Included Recipes).
3. Place wood in the havan kund on a small layer of sand.
4. Sip Ganga water three times while chanting “Om Vishnu”.
5. Recite the Hanuman Chalisa.
6. Place camphor on the wood and light the fire.
7. Invite the deities by reciting: “O Lord Vishnu, Sarva Devis and Devas, I [Your Name] invite you all to this auspicious havan.”
8. Perform 108 offerings of the sweet rice mixture into the fire while chanting the Mrityunjaya mantra, adding the mixture at the word “swaahaa” at the end of each recitation.
9. After 108 offerings, ask Lord Vishnu and the devas for forgiveness for any errors.
10. Chant the Maha Mantra 21 times: “Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare“.
11. Request Lord Vishnu and the devas to return to their abodes.
